This film is a dark comedy and a political drama mixed together. The story begins with a car accident: a family hits a dog on a road at night, damaging their car.
Later, they stop at a car repair shop. There, the mechanic, Vahid, believes the husband is the most cruel and violent prison guard he ever had. Vahid can’t be completely sure, as his eyes were covered during his interrogations, but the specific squeak of the man’s artificial leg and his voice make Vahid very suspicious.
Filled with anger and wanting revenge, Vahid kidnaps Egbal (the husband). He drives him to the desert to bury him alive. However, because Vahid is still not certain who his prisoner is, he hesitates to kill him until he is absolutely sure.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 is a film about the disaster of Pan Am Flight 103, which happened on December 21, 1988. The plane blew up in the air over a small Scottish town called Lockerbie. Because of this, all 259 people on the plane died, as well as 11 people on the ground. It became the deadliest act of terrorism in the history of Great Britain.
However, the film does not focus on the event itself, but on the investigation that followed. Finding out the reasons is not as easy as it seems, because of difficult rules (bureaucracy), a lack of trust between government offices, and secret political actions (geopolitical intrigues). Regular detectives have to work together to find the people responsible for the bombing.

Unlike the classic movie, the new film has many political secrets, uses social media, and looks more deeply into the life of the person who planted the bomb — who is actually on the train.
The 2025 film talks about the events of the 1975 film as if they were a real disaster from the past. This makes the new film feel more like an updated sequel than just a simple remake.
