What is HD?

It is an abbreviation of the English expression High Definition defining a high resolution image. Television HD uncompromising image quality.

HD is a big leap forward in comparison to the standard TV SD (Standard Definition). Higher resolution means more pixels on the TV screen, so the picture is several times more detailed and sharp.

At standard resolution screen displays 576 horizontal lines, while the HD this amount even 1080 lines.

What is the difference in image quality SD and HD?
